Newbies
Newbies is the official welcoming group for Ocean Hills Country Club residents
(homeowners as well as renters). We have quarterly gatherings where new and
established residents can meet, mingle, talk and get to know each other. The
gatherings are loosely structured and provide new residents with an opportunity to
introduce themselves. Club representatives will be available to promote their clubs.
Our goal is to have you walk away with new friends and a feeling of community.
These gatherings are not open to outside guests.
There are many activities available at OHCC and you can participate in as much or
as little as you choose. The choices are nearly endless — golf, pickleball, swimming,
crafts, music, billiards, Mahjongg games, card games and more. OHCC offers about
40 official clubs and many other special interest groups. OHCC is truly a year-round
summer camp for adults.
The last Newbies gathering was on Sept. 16. The next Newbies party will be
held on Sat., Dec. 16 from 2 to 5 pm in Abravanel Hall. All residents are invited,
and a gift will be presented to the newest homeowner as well as the homeowner
who moved from farthest away. Please bring a light appetizer or holiday treat to
share. Water and disposable tableware will be provided, and you may bring other
beverages of your choice. Please bring cash to purchase 50/50 raffle tickets, which
will help support future Newbies activities. Mark your calendar so you do not miss
this opportunity for socializing and making new friends!
