We give thanks for our friends and family and for being able to live in this beautiful community… Sun Lakes. We are truly blessed. Come join us on Fri., Nov. 17 at 5:45 pm in the South Clubhouse. Thomas Catering is serving the following delicious Thanksgiving dinner: white and dark turkey, yams and mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, Waldorf salad, rolls and, for dessert, pumpkin pie or apple pie. What could be better? They're back! The fantastic husband and wife duo, Jamestown. They will be performing for our club that evening. Dues are $15 for the year and are payable in January. If you join now, it's only $7.50 for the rest of the year. Dinner is $20 for members. Guests are $24. You can come one time as a guest for only $24, and then you will want to join the club. Make checks payable for November's dinner reservation to Social Singles and drop it off at Kymm Terlau's house, 5871 Brookside, by Thurs., Nov. 9. Membership dues should be made out to Social Singles and dropped off at Kymm Terlau's home at 5871 Brookside Dr. Applications should be brought there, too. Contact Shelly Arons at shellyarons@verizon.net if you would like to attend Thurs., Nov. 9 dinner at the and/or Sat., Nov. 25 lunch both at the Main Clubhouse Restaurant. Shelly is also the Sunshine Person. If you know someone that has been ill or a member that recently passed, please let Shelly know. Shelly will send out the appropriate card. Michele Walter is going to be stepping back as Activities Coordinator for YAH. Rather than having one person responsible for all events, we would like to have various members step up and host events. The existing Board will support you in coordinating your event, but you will be responsible for coming up with the idea and all the details surrounding that event. We have some ideas already for 2024. If you would like to host one of these events, please contact Michele Walter at (951) 202-8009 or email her at crystalwater@dc.rr.com. Upcoming Events: Nov. 19: Dueling Pianos (SOLD OUT) December: Dark Jan. 28: NFL Playoffs & Chili Cook Off in the South Clubhouse. Cost is $5 per person. We will have prizes for the best chili. Please bring an appetizer to share if you are not bringing chili. Come root for your favorite team. BYOB and glasses. You may drop off your checks at 4713 Skyview Circle. . Future events for 2024 Feb. 17: South Clubhouse (need ideas) March 17: South Clubhouse St. Patrick's Day event April 6: North Clubhouse (comedy event) May 5: North Clubhouse (Cinco de Mayo golf event) June: Corn Hole Toss Tournament (date and clubhouse TBD) Don't forget, you must be a member in order to attend any of our events.
