| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2023 | 37 This month's Mini Art show winners (at right) are Patti Rogers who has created a delicate image of two birds on a branch completed in water colors. While this information is unconfirmed, I believe these to be two yellow-rumped Korean flycatchers. These delicate birds are mainly found in eastern Asia. Which would explain Patti's choice in foliage in the background. A stunning piece of art, for sure. Second place was given to Betty Jo Ford who has created an absolutely beautiful lake scenery with a type of home or barn structure in the background. The scenery reminds me of the Sacramento River, with giant mountains over moving waters and greens as far as the eye can see. Third place was taken by an acrylic piece created by Carol Graham. The blues, greens, and dotted with reds, captures the eye. And an Honorable Mention was presented to Carole Cole who creates free artistic art to inspire. Let me extend a sincere invite to all who would like to join The Art League as membership is always welcome to all. First time guests are especially encouraged to take a peek at all we do. Becoming a member of the Art League is only $20 for the entire year and allows you to get additional invitations to special private events and art classes perks. Art classes are held in the Main Clubhouse Arts & Crafts Room on designated Mondays from 9 am until 12 noon. The cost for the additional art classes is $30 for Art League members and $35 for non- members. Did you know some of the art pieces in the art gallery of the Sun Lakes Main Hall can be purchased? For any of these matters, our very own Linda Grabler, at (951) 524-0136 is always happy to assist. Our deep dive classes are large enough to create an atmosphere of camaraderie, while small enough that no one person gets lost in the mix. Personalized attention from the art teachers is provided to all. As seen in the photo, all artists receive that encouragement and guidance to create truly amazing pieces of work. The Nov. 12 meeting will be the last meeting of this year, so we really want as much participation as possible. Please come join us. While we do not have a guest speaker, we will be discussing major details about the Art Walk and we will be giving extra attention to the Mini Art Show. Let's meet at 2 pm at the South Clubhouse.
