| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2023 | 39 Cruzin' Cronies is a Classic Car Club, but you don't need to own a classic car to join. We get together on the first Saturday of the month at 9 am, either in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room or outside under the trees at the far end of the parking lot, if weather permits. In the Multipurpose Room, we schmooze about our cars, talk about upcoming car shows and related events, and then go to breakfast. There are no dues, no extra fees… just friendship, stories, and laughter. Come join us. Call Denny Rugenstein for more information at (951) 797-0315. Cruzin' Cronies The Dog Owners' Group have sponsored two fundraisers to help the Banning Animal Shelter. Yappy Hour was a time to share a glass of wine and some hors d'oeuvres with our neighbors. We followed this up with our Yappy Dinner catered by Johnny Russo's Italian Restaurant. Fun events with laughter and jokes, silent auctions, and best of all, our generous friends in Sun Lakes whose contributions helped us raise $6,000! ank you all for the great response and generosity for our Banning Shelter! Banning Animal Shelter needs volunteers. They need us to "sponsor" a dog or cat for $20 per month to cover vet expenses until they are adopted. They need our city to support the work they are doing! To join the Dog Owners' Group, call or text Joan Burke at (310) 710-7611 with your name, phone number, and email address. We will add you to the mailing list and you will receive our monthly newsletter, which lists interesting stories, fun dog facts, and best of all, the monthly activities and get-togethers, meetings, and dog parties for the group. Stay in touch with the D.O.G. newsletter! Dog Owners Computer Club Our next meeting will be Nov. 9 at 1 pm in the Multipurpose Room. Meetings are on the second Thursday of each month. At the November meeting, we'll discuss AI (Artificial Intelligence) and in December, we'll cover holiday gift buying for the computer geek. The Computer Club is for people of all computer skill levels. Each meeting will feature various presentations. This is a great way to share information and learn some of the ways to become an effective computer user. One way to get information about what's happening here in Sun Lakes is to go to the Sun Lakes website. If you are on Facebook, you can go to the Good Day Sun Lakes page. This is a page for Sun Lakes residents only. Annual dues are $10 dollars per household. Guests are welcome. For information, call Jerry Munnelly at (951) 769-1787.
