| LIFE IN SOLERA | NOVEMBER 2023 | 33 Welcome to fall everyone! Remember that you only have 54 more shopping days before Christmas. October's Western Hoedown was great fun for all with delicious BBQ food and live entertainment provided by David Ambrose. Several members got into the spirit by wearing western attire and many cowboy boots were a clickin' on the dance floor. Speaking of boots, this month we're "rebooting" the event originally planned for August, which tropical storm Hilary forced us to abruptly cancel. This will be an easy movie trivia event (who said "I am your father?"). Come and enjoy an evening of relaxed fun and maybe you'll win some wine to take home! The event will be FREE to members. We will be serving a Fritos and chili nachos plate with several toppings. Dec. 9 will be our annual Holiday Christmas party. This is always one of the highlights of the year, so you surely don't want to miss this one. You-know-who may show up this year… Here's a tease … January will feature a fresh, new event (more details next month) and February will be our annual Sippers Bingo event. It's a good time to be a Solera Sippers member with all these events coming up. Wine fun fact: The Romans were known to add various flavors to their wines, including honey, fermented fish sauce, and even chalk. Ugh! Membership is required if you are a Solera resident. For membership or other information, please contact Gary Stoh at (951) 845-1981 or garymstoh@aol.com. SOLERA SIPPERS This group is made up of generally men, but women are always welcome. Our focus is on conversation and friendship. We meet every Wednesday in the Clubhouse between 8 and 9 am in the Arts & Crafts Room. It is typically a group of 10 to 20 people. We are led by a facilitator who ensures that everyone will have the opportunity to talk and encourages conversation. We have very interesting and diverse conversations. There are countless benefits you'll enjoy by joining this group, and they can vary from person to person.
