| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2023 | 57 The final week of the Fall Tournament is still in process as I write this. However, as you read this article, we are only days from the Christmas season! I will include the A and B Fall Tournament winners in the January article, if you should still be wondering! Bocce is over with for the next few months. However, that doesn't mean you can't get out when the weather is nice and throw some bocce balls with some friends. The balls and courts are available to you. Please take care to return everything as you found it when you are finished. By the way, there are several pair of sunglasses in the cabinet that have not been claimed. If you have lost a pair, perhaps one of them belongs to you. See you again early in March for the Spring Tournament. Keep an eye on Lifestyles during our break. Anything new will be covered in it. Friends of Bocce POP Tennis, formerly known as Paddle Tennis, is a fun, fast sport that can be enjoyed by people at all fitness levels. Though played on a smaller court with a different paddle and 20 percent deflated tennis balls, POP Tennis is otherwise scored and regulated like traditional tennis. POP Tennis is played on the courts to the left of the Main Clubhouse on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8 to 10 am (spring/summer hours). Additionally, there is a group that plays Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 3 pm and Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings from 6 to 8 pm. People are free to come and go as their schedules permit. All are welcome and there are always friendly folks to teach beginners the game! Paddles and balls are provided too.
