This is the perspective of the
artist of the month, Diane Gray.
"This painting is an homage to
my family. This scene took place 78 years
ago. My grandpa owned a fruit orchard in
Cherry Valley and it was a family affair when
it came time to pack up the fruit to bring to
market. It's sad that family orchards have all
but disappeared from our area. I wanted to
preserve in a painting, a little of the magic
I experienced as a child, playing in the
orchard under dappled sunlight and fruit
laden trees.
"This class is great! Rob Kelman is
always encouraging us to paint and/or
draw because we learn so much with each
one. This is a wonderful class to learn how
to express your creativity. Whether you're
experienced or a novice, this class is for you."
Classes are Mondays from 10 am to 12 pm
and/or Wednesdays from 6 to 8 pm. There is
a nominal $5 fee per person, per session. If
