FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2023 53
Our members have many levels of photography experience. Our
goal is to make photography fun and easy for everyone. The benefit
of a photo club is sharing our experiences. Are there questions you'd
like answered? Would you like one-on-one instruction—camera
usage, photo techniques, post-processing? If someone in the Club
doesn't have an answer, let's find out together.
Our key topic at the November meeting was panning. What is
panning? It is a technique of following a moving subject to create
motion in the photo. To practice this technique, we are photographing
moving trains.
In addition, we discussed photo outings — what and where would
you like to shoot? We have some suggestions but would like to hear
from you. Another topic will be what photo subjects you want to
discuss during our monthly in-person meetings.
As noted last month, the Club changed the Zoom Photoshop
classes. The presentation is now a "Let's Talk Photoshop" agenda. It
will be a Q&A format. Ask a Photoshop question, and we'll talk about
the answer. See you on the second Thursday of the month.
Our next in-person meeting is Thursday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 pm in the
RCN Main Room. It will be great to see everyone.
This month, we feature two very different photographs. One is a
tiny seed pod magnified and shot in black and white. The second is a
colorful train using panning to give a sense of speed.
