e Komen "More than Pink Walk" to raise funds for breast cancer research and
treatment support was held on Sunday, Oct. 8. A team was led by Daryl and Joyce Hansen,
with support from some Colony residents. e team raised over $5,000 in donations. e
5K walk is held yearly in October, which is breast cancer awareness month. It is a fun walk,
starting in Murrieta Town Square, with cheerleaders along the way. We had a survivor in
a motorized wheelchair and mothers with young children in strollers and wagons, so you
don't need to be a strong athlete to join. We'll be looking for supporters again next year.
