Our Nov. 3 meeting was hot and spicy. Six members brought their
amazing chili to compete in a Chili Cook Off. The third Place winner
was Pat Andrews, there was a tie for second Place, Terry Commeans
and Mark Schrader, and the first Place winner was Olive Alpaugh.
Each winner was presented with a chili mug and a gift card to Stater
Bros.
The annual elections were held for board officers for 2024 and
a request to increase dues to $30 for the upcoming year. The raise
in dues was passed for 2024. Congratulations to President Bianca
Ralston, Vice President Carolyn Keierleber, Secretary Debra Eudy and
Treasurer Janet Carpenter. More information will be forth coming
with dates, times and location where you can renew your membership
or become a new member for the upcoming 2024 year.
The last meeting of 2023 will be our annual Holiday Luncheon.
This year it will be held in the Oakmont Rooms and catered by Chef
Noel. The menu will consist of either Chicken Masala or Vegetable
Lasagna, salad, potatoes, vegetables, rolls and a variety of yummy
desserts.
I would like to thank members for their donation of a gift basket
and/or the purchasing of raffle tickets at our monthly meetings. With
all the money raised this year, Bon Appetit should be able to award
two scholarships to two outgoing seniors at Beaumont High School in
the Culinary Arts program who are continuing their education in that
