| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2023 | 27 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The children were nestled all snug in their beds, dreaming of fabrics and colorful threads. When what to my wondering eyes would appear, but a giant ironing board and eight tiny rulers. With a little old presser foot, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Fabric. He spoke not a word but when straight to his work. The wrapping not fitting that colorful King, ribbons and bows suddenly appeared. Miraculously sticking themselves into place, Sugar Plum Fairies quickly filled the space. Waving his needle and seam ripper wands, the quilts were all finished, with labels abound. And covering the still sleeping figure with one of the quilts, he noticed who ate all his cookies, and drank his milk. Laying his finger aside of his nose, and giving a nod, up the chimney he rose. He sprang to his ironing board, securing his iron, and away they all flew like the dimples on a thimble. I heard him exclaim, as he soared out of sight, "May your needle never bend and your thread never break. Happy Sewing to All and to all a Fun Project!"
