| OHCC LIVING | DECEMBER 2023 | 33 Another trip around the sun is almost complete! As we head into the holiday season, I know a lot of us have been preparing special gis throughout the year to exchange with our friends and loved ones. Our craing gives us the gis of productivity and accomplishment while also allowing us to share those "labors of love". Last year, a group of members took one of our "wool felting" classes. ey made purses, hats, and other items. ere was an interest for more of those classes and it was decided that an instructional session in the use of our felting machine would be a logical next step. On Sat., Dec. 9 from 9:30 am to noon, MaryLu Belisle with demonstrate the felting machine and discuss the process. On that same day from 12:30 to 5 pm, Pam Bechill will be teaching her Wearable Art Kimono Class. is is a lovely item, usually worn as a light shirt over your blouse. It's a lovely pattern, and easy to make! Don't forget about our "rideshare" service to meetings and workshops that are held in our Clubhouse. If you are interested in attending and have no transportation, please call Sharon Philippe (760) 500-3086. We have a list of volunteers who will be happy to get you to and from the event. As an FYI – there is no meeting in December. If you're interested in just getting together with some smiling faces, our Kneedlers (knitters) and Hookers (crocheters) gather on Tuesdays from 3 to 4:30 pm, and are always looking for excuses to practice their knitting and crocheting, and to offer guidance. Also, on Tuesday evenings (6 to 8 pm) and Fridays (12 to 3 pm) several quilters, knitters, crocheters and sewers get together for "Sew & Chats". Both of these gatherings are loosely structured, and help to keep us in touch. If you are interested in participating in our activities and are not sure who to reach out to for further information, please call MaryLu Belisle (952) 454-1931 for more information.
