10 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2024 | Name: ____________________________________________________________________________________ Address: ___________________________________________________________________________________ Phone: ____________________________________________________________________________________ FREE SUNDAY BRUNCH FOR TWO at the Bistro at Four Seasons Not valid on holidays or special events. Limit ONE ENTRY per residence per month Greetings to 2024, I hope we are all ready to step into a bright and shining new year filled with peace, good will and love in our hearts. Oen we have things happen to us that isn't fun or even pleasant, it comes and hits us like a storm. If we consider these wise words (Author Anon), "Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some come to clear your path," it just might ease our life. May all your storms be gentle! anksgiving had a couple unhappy snags, but at least we didn't lose electricity for the third year. e Bistro Committee called a special meeting to discuss these problems: the long line of cars trying to get through the gate and the line of guests trying to get into the Ballroom for their meal. e biggest problem was people joining friends at their table instead of sitting at their assigned table. e number of people not able to sit at their assigned table created havoc for the staff. People with reservations rightfully expect to be seated and become very unhappy when those seats aren't available. Some were very vocal and took it out on the wait-staff who were doing their best to sort out what seats were available. e staff gives up their anksgiving Day to serve us. ey don't deserve to be screamed at or humiliated, especially when it isn't their fault. e blame goes to us as residents and our guests. I'm afraid if it continues, no one will want to work here. While we all are special here, we also need to remember, we're all created equal, so be considerate! If you have thoughts of a way to improve matters and seating for events, I gladly receive your suggestions and offer them for discussion at our next meeting. pattgililland@gmail.com Margie Culton, sister Patti and crew have managed to put together another spectacular event for New Years Eve — great food, entertainment and dancing and two times to toast the closing out of 2023 and welcoming in 2024. We have enjoyed so many events this year, it almost seems we need to add more days to each month, seems like we had music on the plaza every month and a couple inside as well. We certainly had something fun to do every holiday, I'm sure the calendar will be just as full this year. With so much going on, I still was able to catch one movie on the plaza. Four Seasons definitely is not a dull or boring place to live. We had two weddings, several birthday celebrations, four almost teenagers celebrated their 80th, two couples celebrated their 50th anniversary and one couple enjoyed their surprise 69th anniversary party. We also had one couple celebrate their anniversary and one of their birthdays, the same day! What a fun way to celebrate special dates of our lives with a party to make more great memories. e winners of "Francisco Sunday Brunch for Two" are Fred and Claudette Gilbert shown enjoying e Lodge's beautiful Christmas decorations, that lucky ticket was drawn by Darryl Drake. Congratulations! ~ at's me, Patt double "T" Bistro Committee
