26 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2024 Happy New Year friends! At our November meeting, we had a community update from Board of Directors President, Jerry Monahan, who also answered questions. We were also given some valuable tips by the Beaumont Police Department on how to avoid and prevent scams. Our State of the City update from our Beaumont City Manager, Elizabeth Gibbs, will be on Jan. 10. Winter Weather Driving Safety Tips Winter weather driving can be challenging. erefore, it is important to exercise more caution while driving. Wet, slick roads decrease your ability to maintain control of your vehicle. Whether driving in Four Seasons or on the city streets, try to adhere to the following guidelines: • Check your tires. Make sure your tires are inflated properly and the treads are not worn. • Reduce your speed. Drive slower in rain or icy conditions. Even with better roads, better tires, and anti-lock brakes, many drivers get into accidents due to a skid. • Allow more time to slow down when approaching other vehicles, curves, and intersections. • Give more distance to the vehicles ahead of you. In inclement weather, double the normal following distance. • Never jam on the brakes. is will lock the wheels and throw them into a skid. Instead, apply the brakes slowly. • Make sure your windshield wipers are in good condition before rainy season. • Make sure your headlights are on during rainy conditions and when using your windshield wipers. is will increase your visibility to other drivers — and it's the law! Play it safe! Within our property boundaries, the maximum speed limit is 30 mph on Four Seasons Circle and 25 mph on our residential side streets. Regardless, remember to slow down during inclement weather or when unsafe conditions are present! ank you to our Block Captains and Community Awareness Committee members for all they do to help keep our community safe. ~ Frank Hilberg, hilberg frank@gmail.com Arches Park Back Creek Buck Springs Bulow Creek Calvert Park Canary Creek Cascade Creek Coleman Creek Compass Creek Cooks Creek Crane Creek Cross Creek Diamond Peak Dry Creek Fern Creek Goodrich Rock Granite Creek Heatherwood Humbolt Peak Irvine Park Julie Donavin Moor Kettle Creek Kings Canyon Lewis Creek Madera Creek Mesa Verde Park Mission Trail Murphy Creek Otter Creek Owl Creek Paint Creek Pipe Springs N Poplar Creek Potter Creek Quiet Creek Rio Grande Tijeras Creek Timberline Topaz Creek Trout Run Turtle Creek Vinson Crest Wagon Creek Whiskey Creek Whisper Creek Wolf Creek Yellowstone Park Community Awareness HELP WANTED!
