FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2024 31 Social Committee Happy New Year one and all! We hope everyone had a fabulous time at the New Year's Eve Party. Loretta Ramsey went out with a bang. Everything and everyone looked beautiful. What a great way to start the New Year. Our team is very excited about the 2024 events. We will not be having any shows in January as we will be getting ready for our next event on Feb. 16. We will be welcoming Celine Dion, Cher, and Neil Diamond for this tribute show. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, Jan. 15 at 9 am. Ticket price is $30. The show starts at 6 pm and the doors will open at 5:15 pm. Bring your favorite food and beverage. Wear your best getup of Celine, Cher, or Neil as there will be a contest for the best costumes. Feel like being a super star like Celine, Cher, or Neil? Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third places. We will also have four raffles and one door prize. PLEASE bring extra money for raffle tickets. These raffle monies help fund the next event. The Social Committee appreciates your attendance and continued support. Don't miss the great night of entertainment! ~ Lisa Johnson, lisajohnson710@gmail.com (714) 322-8877 Landscape Committee In ancient Roman religion and myth, Janus is the god of beginnings and endings. He is usually depicted as having two faces. The month of January is named for Janus. So, in January, we look forward to both future activities and backward to accomplishments in the prior year. We are proud to recount our accomplishments in 2023 and provide guidelines for what we plan to accomplish in 2024. Some of the projects of which we are most proud include the cleanup of the Breckenridge detention basin, the refurbishment of three slopes, the introduction of native plants at both the Courts and Veterans Park, replacement of declining and dead Locusts with Redbuds at the Potrero Entrance as well as refurbishment of planters on Four Seasons Blvd., and major improvements to the landscaping on Four Seasons Circle. In addition, the committee oversaw the removal of trees that were damaging community and residential property. For the new year, projects that the committee is considering for the new year include refurbishment of The Lodge parking lot, a project that was deferred from 2023, enhancements to the Pollinator Garden, and completion of the Four Seasons Circle refurbishment activity. In addition to planned major projects, the committee will continue to inspect both the common and front yard planting to assure that the community retains its appeal to current and future residents as well as guests and realtors. Residents are welcome to attend our monthly meetings at 1 pm on the third Tuesday of the week in the RCN Conference Room and our weekly walks that start at 8 am during the current season of the year. ~ Kirk Freyermuth, kafreyer@frontier.com
