We have screenings on the second Sunday of each month. We screen films you won't find at the big cineplexes: documentaries, indie films, foreign films, and other little gems that don't get wide release. Our screening for this month, on Sunday, Jan. 14 at 6 pm, is the My Donkey, My Lover & I (France 2020, 1 hr. 37 min., French with English subtitles). Here is a brief description from IMDb.com: "Antoinette, a school teacher, is looking forward to her long planned summer holidays with her secret lover Vladimir, the father of one of her pupils. When learning that Vladimir cannot come because his wife organized a surprise trekking holiday in the Cévennes National Park with their daughter and a donkey to carry their load, Antoinette decides to follow their track, by herself, with Patrick, a protective donkey." All of our screenings are followed by lively discussion about the film. We'd love to have you join us. The Lodge Theater has very limited seating, so if you're interested in our screenings, come early. We hope to see you there. Please note that all films announced are subject to availability. Rogers and Arlen play World War I combat pilots in a romantic rivalry over a woman. The Wednesday Western Matinee is on Jan. 10 at 2 pm. We will be showing a classic movie staring John Wayne in his first full-length movie e Big Trail from 1930. No great trail was ever built without hardship. ~ Paul Plamondon, 4seasonsmoviegroup@gmail.com
