54 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2024
Quilting Enthusiasts
Happy New Year! 2024 will be a fabulous and creative year for one
and all of our creative and talented Quilting Enthusiasts members. We
resume our monthly meetings on the second Thursday of each month.
For the month of January and February, 2024, we will be meeting at
10 am in the Card Room. March will find us back in the Arts & Crafts
Room 2 at 1 pm with our regular meetings, with the third Thursday
being open sewing for any and all quilters and sewers. We welcome
all. Our group is planning on the third Four Seasons Quilt Show which
will be held in The Lodge Ballroom in September of 2024. Meanwhile,
our members are busy with their own projects and requests from
different Four Seasons clubs for donation quilts. Below is the donation
quilt made by Jeri Sorensen, and quilted by Carolyn Young
of Quilting Gardens. This quilt was donated to the Cars &
Coffee Club on Nov. 11 to honor the veterans who served.
In other news, Penny Key, donated her time to make a blue jeans
friendship quilt for Janine and Dave Rohrbacker, on behalf of the
dancers in their Step It Up Line Dancer class. The front of the quilt
is made with old blue jeans and the back of the quilt is all flannel.
Sounds great for the cool winter evenings of California. The quilt was
signed by all the dancers. Awesome job Penny Key! Below are two
different quilts that Sally Peterson made during two different classes
she attended. Beautiful job Sally!
