I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. Now, we begin a new year. e news says it will be a rainy winter with El Nino offshore. Is your house prepared? Are your rain gutters cleared? Have you checked your wrought iron fencing? I know I keep harping on this, but I have seen the replacement prices here in e Colony. e committee would like to refresh the architectural guidelines for necessary applications. It is required that prior approval be obtained for all construction involving improvements and modifications to homes, patio covers and yards, as listed in the CC&R's Articles 13-21. e following is a list of many of the improvements that need application approval: exterior house painting, veneer, solar panels, all fencing, windows, doors, patio replacements, permanent barbecues, air conditioners, gazebos and arbors, lattices and trellises, golf netting, and decorative accessories. e committee meets the first and third Tuesday of the month to review and approve applications. Your application and pictures are due in the HOA office by 4 pm the ursday of the week prior to our meeting. ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL By Gloria Brosky
