Greetings to all residents of OHCC! We all made it through the hectic holidays and we have lived to celebrate another new year together. e Recreation Department finished up the year with a record number of events. e staff has worked very hard to update, input, and inform the community of how to obtain space in the Clubhouse. We have sent out most of the confirmations for reservations made by the HOA, the clubs, the interest groups, and the requests for private room rentals. If there is a question as to how to make a reservation, please stop by the front desk for more information. Our thanks to our holiday parade participants for venturing out on a cold, Tuesday evening. We were approximately 30-strong as we motored through the Village. It's remarkable as to the creativity that goes into decorating a golf cart. Our AV Team filmed the entire procession and will have it available on the in-house channel. We thank our spectators for joining with us, sipping their favorite beverage, huddled around their outdoor fireplaces on their driveways. We hoped everyone enjoyed the show and we brought some holiday cheer to all who came out to greet us. Nothing better than a parade! Do Dues Day is around the corner and many of the social clubs have made plans to kick-off the new year on Sat., Jan. 13, 2024 at 10 am. is event is called "an OHCC tradition," and many residents find it to be a time to meet and mingle with old friends. e clubs and their representatives will be here to answer questions, sign up new members, and be introduced to the newer clubs. e Clubhouse front desk will take checks for memberships at any time. e RV Club plans to have their hot dog lunch for an affordable fee of $5. Annual Golf Bag Tags have arrived earlier this year and residents are welcome to obtain one tag at no charge. e tags require a signature on the back to confirm the users have read the rules. is month the 40th Anniversary Committee is offering residents to make appointments for photos that will go in the Commemorative Book. Residents and their pets (for the first time ever!) are invited to have their photo included in our Commemorative Book that will be distributed at our official celebration on May 18. Appointment dates - residents only - Jan. 16, 17, 18 from 2:30 to 7 pm at the Clubhouse. Residents and pets: Jan. 20 from 9 am to 1 pm - overflow lot. Please call the front desk to make an appointment. Photography dates are limited and filling up fast! May this one be your best year yet.
