Golf Club
e first article for 2024. Another year shoots by, but there's much to
anticipate for 2024, including some new officers working hard on our behalf.
Let's welcome Mike Guillory as our new President, Natalie Sentz as our new
1st VP, Jerry Moskovitz as our new 2nd VP, and Dalene Fahey as our new
Secretary. And a big thank you to the outgoing officers; Greg Cies President,
Mike Guillory 1st VP, Bill Boston 2nd VP, and Jean Boston Secretary. And
another thank you to Mary LaForte for continuing as Treasurer.
Looking forward to 2024, we can expect Do Dues Day on Sat., Jan. 13,
a good day to bump into our fellow golf friends. Also upcoming are the
first Guys and Dolls Tournament on Sat., Feb. 17 and Touring Amateurs on
Mon., April 15 at Native Oaks. Also worth mentioning is that our big money
Special Tournaments will continue in June. And as a reminder, our first
General Membership Meeting will occur on Wed., Jan. 17.
Can't conclude the article without congratulating a number of individuals
who played well at the last Touring Amateur Tournament of the year at the
Welks Fountain Course on Nov. 13. Kudos to Sharon Sorensen and Joe Moore
for their Closest to the Pin shots; and Rich Dameron, Keith ompson,
and Ken Trogdon for nailing the Magic Circle. Lowest Gross goes to Sandy
Geisser, John Jarf, Nigel Nelms, and Mike Stern. Lowest Net studs were Mike
and Annette Guillory and Mark and eresa Deutman. Way to go everyone!
How about letting some of the rest of us earn some cash next year.
And finally, a photo of Ron Carso, one of the hardworking, unheralded,
and grossly underpaid tournament starters. Happy Holidays!
