Happy New Year! The best thing about 2024 is our brand new meeting schedule. It will be so much simpler than in previous years. We will be meeting EVERY Monday now, and always in the same room. We only have to remember one new thing; the second Monday of every month will be from 11 am to 1 pm, instead of 1 to 3 pm. I wish I could tell you about our glorious, fun holiday party we had in December, but that will have to wait until next month since, as I write this, it actually hasn't happened yet! As for our recent monthly project of decorating bottles, glamming them up any way we could, we had a record turnout on both days. We thank Barb Luna for introducing us to the idea, guiding us along our glue-laden paths, and being our cheerleader for our efforts. I was amazed at the ingenuity (once again) among our little group. I wish I could include pictures of everyone's creations, but a sampling of some of the impressive handiworks are pictured here. They make perfect little gifts or beautiful new additions to our own homes. The cost was minimal, as most of us have things around the house available to use, along with Dollar Store purchases. Our popular group is expanding again. We welcomed three more crafty ladies just in the past month. Gloria Jensen, Dianne Stigall, and Linda Pope have joined us and have dived right into the fun. Glad to have you all in Paper Crafters! I wonder how long before we will have to move our expanding group into the Ballroom for our meetings! January begins our new schedule, and the first Monday is New Year's Day, so no meeting that day. After that, we meet on Jan. 8 (second Monday) from 11 am to 1 pm, then Jan. 15, 22, and 29 we meet at our usual time, from 1 to 3 pm. All meetings take place in the Multipurpose Room. January's birthday luncheon will be on Thursday, Jan. 11 at 11 am in the Atrium. For further information or questions, please contact either Elaine Perkins (951) 334-3119 or Sallie Flesher (951) 902-9768. Paper Crafting 28 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2024 | Happy New Year.
