SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | JANUARY 2024 11 By Tom Ritchie, Resident The Solera Diamond Valley Pickleball Club held its Fall Tournaments in October. There were 18 participants, eight ladies and 10 men. These were round robin tournaments where each player had the opportunity to play one another. Each preliminary game on both sides was played to nine points with the championship games played to 11. On the women side, Adriana Davis and Sherri Warren took first place and Janet Davis and Cindi Buck came in second place. Those who participated on the women's side were Dee Ruiz, Christie Clarke, Gay Smead, Linda Weiss, Janet Davis, Cindi Buck, Sherri Warren, and Adriana Davis. On the men's side Richard Clarke and Irv Waldo came in first place. Scott Harrington and Tom Ritchie came in second place. The other players on the men's side were Neal Anderson, Chuck Orrico, Patrick Davis, Dennis Kay, Mike Hurlock, and Dan Morse. After the tournament, club and family members enjoyed a hot dog and hamburger barbecue. We want to thank Keith Davis and Louie Cherpin for being our scorekeepers, and for Larry Smead and Keith Davis for cooking hot dogs and hamburgers. Thanks to everyone who made this a wonderful day. Pickleba By David Yang, Resident The SDVTC (Solera Diamond Valley Tennis Club) held a Round Robin on Oct. 27. A great time was had by all. Congratulations to Adriana Davis and Vladi Venczel who posted the highest scores. The Round Robin was followed by a pizza party.
