| LIFE IN SOLERA | JANUARY 2024 | 45 The Tuesday Night Poker Group is still going strong in providing a night of fun, friendship, and shuffling… the cards that is! One tip about Texas Hold'em as a new player, you will be nervous! Everyone who just starts feels that way, but you will become more relaxed and confident with each Tuesday you come to play. The group is understanding and always helpful to the new players. Should you be interested to learn before a game night, there are plans to hold Intro to Texas Hold'em events, so watch for the flyers on that. We play every Tuesday evening and play starts at 4 pm in Oakmont Room 3. For more information, please contact Earl Scott at (909) 633-4867. We invite you to come and try your hand at Texas Hold'em. TUESDAY NIGHT POKER BINGO SOCIAL CLUB BUNCO BEAUTIES Our club meets twice a month on the first and third Thursdays. Doors open at 5 pm and Bingo begins at 6 pm. For further information, contact Mary Anne Roadick (909) 239-6698. Bunco Beauties Christmas Celebration! Nine years ago we started playing Bunco at the Clubhouse and were the first group playing at the Clubhouse. We are a very happy group. We hope you enjoyed your holiday season. ~ Rosita Dorris If your New Years Resolutions include being more socially active, broadening your interests, or just staying away from the refrigerator … you may want to add Rummikub to your routine. It is much like your childhood card game rummy but is played with tiles instead of cards. It is easy to learn, fast moving and it's different every time it's played so it keeps you thinking and is never boring. Players take turns placing numbered tiles on the table in two kinds of sets: groups/books (three or four of the same number in different colors); and runs (three or more consecutive numbers of the same color). To add to the fun, there are two jokers which may be used in place of any color and number tile. If you would like to give your brain a bit of a workout and do something challenging and loads of fun, come and play Rummikub with us. We play in the Oakmont Room each Monday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm. We welcome both newcomers and experienced players to our group. Several tables are set up so you can play with two to four people depending on how you prefer to play. If you have any questions please call Carole Stone at (951) 385-3450. RUMMIKUB
