FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2024 29 An Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is required by both California State law and our CC&Rs. ARC is charged with reviewing all requests to change, modify, and/or improve the outside of a home including the landscape. ARC is guided by Part 4 of the CC&Rs with the document entitled Architectural Guidelines and Standards. This document was last revised and adopted by the Board of Directors on June 18, 2022. Copies are available online at www.fourseasonsbeaumont.org or at the management office in the RCN. ARC only reviews new work and does not enforce violations of ARC guidelines. We review and approve or disapprove all applications with the intent to preserve and improve the appearance of the community and to ensure continuity in design. We are careful not to restrict individual creativity or personal preference. All disapprovals are based solely on the guidelines which include all applicable city, state, and federal laws and regulations. Each application is considered on its own merits, which means that there are no automatic approvals and because laws change what was once approvable may not be under current laws and guidelines. Of course, the reverse may also be true. While neither ARC nor any member can approve a plan or concept without a formal application and review by all members, we are willing to discuss any questions or concerns you may have prior to applying. ARC members have an unofficial motto which is: We want to help you make your home what you want and if it cannot be done within the guidelines, we will help you find an alternative that works for you. If you have questions or want to discuss an idea, please feel free to contact me. ~ Steve Cooley, (801) 815-5302, cooleyaudit@gmail. com Architectural Review Committee Facilities Committee February is an exceptional month especially because of Super Bowl. This National Football League game is the biggest and determines the NFL championship. Enjoy it and may the best team win! At the December open Board session, the Board approved a proposal for a new spa lift for The Summit. This will be installed by our current pool vendor Pacific Commercial Pools. The Facilities Committee has several projects for 2024 including the carpeting for The Lodge Ballroom, Game Room, and Billiards Room. The Facilities Committee meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 9 am in the RCN. ~ Lila Bonner, Regina Farmer, and Deborah Wasbotten
