| LIFE IN SOLERA | FEBRUARY 2024 | 37 HIGH NOTES FROM KARAOKE We all have songs in our head that we just can't forget because of the catchy lyrics. Some of the most memorable songs from long ago fall into the nursery rhyme category. Songs like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Mary Had A Little Lamb will stay in your head much like It's A Small World Aer All which is what has been called an earworm in recent times. ese days you might hear songs like Can't Touch is by MC Hammer or All My Exes Live In Texas by George Strait that will stick in your mind and not go away. Here's a list of some of these type of songs that we just can't get out of our heads. Sugar Sugar, e Archies Dang Me, Roger Miller Sweet Caroline, Neil Diamond Red Solo Cup, Toby Keith Hello Mudduh, Hello Fadduh, Alan Sherman I'm Henry VIII, I Am, Herman's Hermits O.P.P., Naughty By Nature ese Boots Are Made For Walkin', Nancy Sinatra Feliz Navidad, Jose Feliciano at's Amore, Dean Martin If you have a song in your head that you just can't shake off and it is compelling you to sing it out loud then we suggest that you join Barb Miller, Rosie Ingalls & D.J. Blast for our Goodtimes Karaoke gatherings. As usual, this month we are in the Oakmont Clubhouse and the potluck starts at 5:30 pm for those who contribute followed by karaoke at 6 pm. It's always fun and you are invited whether you sing or not. We will continue to keep a clean disinfected microphone ready for you.
