Our annual end-of-the-year holiday dinner party was such fun. A lot of work went into making it the success that it was. A big thank you goes out to our party organizers, Ann Bedel, Kathy Ankenman, and Rosanna de Leon. They did a super job with the centerpieces, crazy games, prizes, and homemade desserts. We played a few games, some that challenge our ancient brains. We had a gift exchange, and much to my delight, NO stealing of gifts! Thank you to Thomas, our Food and Beverage Director, for enabling us to gather in the Sandwedge for our party. He created and had a special menu printed out just for our event. Thank you, Thomas! There were several winners of the apron contests. Barb Luna grabbed the one called "Snarkiest Apron." (See photo!) Our February schedule is as follows: we will meet all four Mondays in the Multipurpose Room from 1 to 3 pm. The only exception is the second Monday, Feb. 12, when we will meet from 11 am to 1 pm. Our birthday luncheon will be on Thurs., Feb. 8 at 11 am in the Atrium, unless otherwise notified. Our group has grown recently, so we sometimes have too many to fit in the Atrium. For further information or questions, please contact either Elaine Perkins (951) 334-3119 or Sallie Flesher (951) 902-9768. Paper Crafting 28 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2024 | Sew What? Club Talented and interested ladies who have an interest in the Sew What Club are always welcome to attend our meetings on the first and third Tuesdays. We meet at 12:30 to 2:30 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. Because our membership has dwindled, there are some weeks that we have missed meeting because the few remaining members had other commitments that arise and there is no one to lead the group. If that has happened to you, don't give up on coming the next time or giving me a call. My name is Gail and you can reach me at (951) 797-3589. If I am unable to take your call, please leave your name and number and a brief message and I will call you back. e Party Planners: Kathy, Ann, and Rosanna Beautiful and tasty desserts Barb Luna's "Snarky Apron" winner
