Reminder for those who have already signed up and paid, our
February event is Feb. 3 and will feature Jamestown, the Sun Lakes
married duo of Sheila and Larry James. They are always so fabulous,
you won't want to miss them!
Our January gathering was a first for our 80s Club. Diane was out
with Covid as were several other volunteers, Donna was also out and
equally sick without it actually being Covid. But, with the volunteers
left standing, they proved their mettle, making sure the event went
smoothly and without a hitch. The volunteers for this organization
are truly an incredible bunch and this event proved the point. Short
handed and without a leader, it was a really successful event! A
special thank you to Bill Shova for emceeing the event in Diane's
absence. What a wonderful back up to be able to count on, especially
with little to no notice!
Tin Man's Heart was as great as they always are and the attendees
were lucky enough and thrilled to be able to hear a couple of the
group's original songs, Queen on the Country Radio and Old Mister
Moon. Other favorites that they performed were Ain't Misbehaving,
Fly Me To e Moon, and Don't Let the Old Man In. The blend of
Mike and Lee Stone's voices of Tin Man's Heart are truly unique (in a
very good way), and their talents in both singing and in writing their
material are incredible. The crowd clearly enjoyed and appreciated
this performance as their response to the duo proved, tripping over
each other getting to the tip jar, showing their obvious approval.
Thank you, Mike and Lee! I'm so sorry I missed it this time but I
did hear great things. I'll catch you when you're at the Clubhouse
next time.
