GLADYS "SUE" SAVAGE My name is Gladys "Sue" Savage. As a candidate for the Master Board and a former Hemet City Treasurer, I am aware of the importance of monitoring our HOA dollars and deriving the best income from our investments. To keep our restaurant operational and our golf course private, from my first day, I will work with other HOA Board members to best manage our revenue and expense streams. Our HOA monthly Treasurer's Report shows we do not have enough money to pay our bills! From the first day, I would encourage the Board to consider investments earning a higher interest rate than the 1% currently earned vs the 5% available to organizations such as ours. is higher interest rate could fully pay our bills over time! From my first day, I will be committed to being visible, approachable and a "Voice" for all Sun Lakes residents. I am willing to challenge the status quo, believing Sun Lakes Country Club should be continually evolving. EVERYONE should be heard, ALL the people who live here, in addition to the special interest groups. I will hold FirstService Residential Management Company responsible for lawful and effective management. My answer to self-management is "NO, thank you"! I oppose the Banning Point and Sunset Crossroads Projects. I will strive to maintain the beauty of our private golf courses, along with our common areas and facilities. Since arriving in Sun Lakes, I joined Garden Club, Bocce Ball, Bridge, Canasta, Young at Heart, and Friendship Clubs. I oen volunteer for the Sun Lakes Chorale. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Regis University. I worked in the airline industry doing systems analysis in fares and pricing; started my own contracting business working with United, Delta, US Air, and IBM. I've been married 54 years to my husband, Pat. In May 2022, we moved to Sun Lakes and believe we live in a little slice of heaven. I believe in mutual trust and respect. I ask you for your vote to help make it better. Without your vote, nothing will change. Email: Sue.Savage@hotmail.com Phone: 303-909-9183 RANDY ROBBINS (Incumbent) (909) 499-3570 randy.robbins@sunlakescc.com WOW!!! Has it really been two years of serving as vice president of Sun Lakes on the Board of Directors (Master Board)? I will let you know it has been an HONOR to represent all 3,327 homes and condos in OUR community. I would be honored to serve another two-year term. I was born and raised in Temple City, a small city in the San Gabriel Valley not too far from Los Angeles. I have been married to my wife, Debbie, for 42 years. We raised our three children in Rialto, CA and have two teenage granddaughters. Professional life: I was a restaurant manager early in my career running KFC's, buffet restaurants and working in food-service management at University of California at Los Angeles. At the age of 25, I joined my family's wholesale lumber company and created a distribution division. I stayed in this industry until my retirement in 2020. Volunteer service: Little League Baseball has been a large part of my service. In Little League we build leadership with baseball being the vehicle. I have been a manager, league president, umpire (still do this in Banning) and District Administrator, overseeing 11 leagues. • Involved in PTA, receiving the Honorary Service Award • Co-founder and president of the Pass Action Group with a core group of volunteers • I was the President of the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital when we received over five million dollars from the Morongo Band of Mission Indians for a new stroke center Board Member Accomplishments: • Assisted with the promotion of the Reserve Replenishment Assessment • Worked with Board President and Management in monthly clubhouse inspections • Supported the Board with many items/projects that had been deferred using the Repair and Replacement Fund (south pool dehumidifier, bunker reconstruction, upgraded ballroom carpet and chairs) • Utilized funding from our Capital Improvement Fund for new projects (Sandwedge, new pickle ball courts, lounge expansion) Budget: Our overall budget has been "better than budget" by over $500,000 combined over the last two years. Coming in under overall budget is a priority, as well as correcting poor performing areas. 2024 SUN LAKES COUNTRY CLUB BOARD OF DIRECTORS CANDIDATE STATEMENT 2024 SUN LAKES COUNTRY CLUB BOARD OF DIRECTORS CANDIDATE STATEMENT | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2024 | 9
