Gift bags were available. We now have a microchip scanner available to us, purchased by Victoria. She is making it available to us to check our pet's microchip which should be done annually. Working on getting the Hemet K-9 unit to come back for the March meeting. Their last presentation was phenomenal. Spring Cleaning Safety: Annual spring cleaning can expose your pet to harmful chemicals like ammonia, bleach and chlorine. Even all-natural products can cause stomach problems. Lethal Landscaping: When planting your spring garden, you'll want to avoid flowers like azaleas, sago palms and rhododendrons, which are highly toxic to pets. Fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides can also harm animals, and even something as seemingly harmless as mulch can prove unsafe. Puddle Protection: Don't let your dog drink from stagnant water sources like puddles. This can lead to gastrointestinal upset or more serious health concerns like Leptospirosis, a bacterial infection that can cause severe damage to the kidneys and liver. Alfresco Dining Dangers: Before you order brunch, do a quick inspection of the area around your table. Make sure there's nothing on the ground that could prove harmful if ingested. Join us TGIF in the Ballroom for an early St. Patrick's Day Celebration on Friday, March 1 at 5 pm. For fun, raffle prizes, the buffet and with Karaoke/dancing join us at 5 pm – Social; 5:30 pm – Dinner; 6:15 pm – Raffle Prizes; 6:30 – 8:30 pm Karaoke/Dancing. Bring a dish to share for eight to 10, your own utensils, dishes and beverage of choice. If you are concerned about sharing the buffet, you may bring your own dinner.
