18 18 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2024 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2024 | Happy Campers RV Club Spring is in the air campers! Time to get out the rigs and wash off the winter grime. Wax polish and gas up. Let's get this party started. March and April are still good months for desert camping. We had a nice time at Emerald Cove even though illness and weather made it a bit challenging. Our first cruise of the year set sails this month on The Princess Discovery. Seven days along the California Coast. We have six couples booked. May is our yearly trip to Bonelli Bluffs and we currently have 17 rigs signed up to go. This is a big undertaking and Larry and Juliane Sandberg always do a great job as Wagon Masters. Our second cruise planned for the year is in October. There is still plenty of time to join the fun. We will be sailing round trip from New York on Princess. This will be a wonderful time of year to see some fall colors up the East Coast. We invite all residents of Four Seasons to come to our meetings. We meet the first Saturday of the month at 10 am. We meet in the Multipurpose Room at The Lodge. So come on campers! Get your engines started and as always stay safe and happy camping. Our first picture (top left) shows what a crazy fun group we are. Sent in by Mike Wofford. Who can pass up a photo op in front of a beautiful Christmas tree, even if it's in the ladies' bathroom? The second two pictures from Emerald Cove in Earp, California include a visit from the local wild burros, and the calm before the storm with beautiful skies. Both submitted by Janet Swindell. Wine Club March Madness is just not for basketball aficionados! Our wine club members will enjoy a little of the craziness as well! On March 28, we will have some action in the Ballroom as the Wine Club members are challenged by the Italians. It will be a slam dunk for some of us as we maneuver through a selection of magnificent players from Italy. No dribbling allowed! Goditi il vino! There will be molto vino for all! Here's a few photos from our January meeting where we enjoyed an educational evening with residents Tom Plant and Randy Mellinger, who presented wines from Peirano Estates in Lodi. For new members joining in 2024, there will be a special gift (until supplies last). Our annual membership fee is $30/year with a $10 per meeting fee. Guest fees will be $15 each. Do not forget your two wine glasses, perhaps a sample of your favorite varietal to educate your table and if you like, appetizers to share. See you on the March 28 at 6 pm in The Lodge Ballroom. Cheers! ~ Your Wine Club Steering Committee
