FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2024 27 Winter weather will soon be over; rainy days, however, will likely continue to be with us for a few more weeks. After a substantial rain, the Corral needs to be closed for several days to allow the DG to dry out to prevent unnecessary deterioration. Thank you for your understanding during this rainy season. If you are a recent or "seasoned" resident and are still considering whether the Corral is right for your dog(s), please reach out to one of our members and we will be happy to share our positive experiences. You can also pick up an application at the flyer holder near the entrance/exit at The Lodge. The application will include all the rules and requirements so our furry companions have a safe place to play off-leash. The Canine Corral is a fully self-funded facility by way of initial membership dues of $40 per dog for one year (subsequent renewals are $30) and by some very generous donations from residents and local businesses. We would love to have some of our members join our committee, so if you are interested in volunteering your time, or just interested in how our committee functions, please come to one of our monthly meetings held on the first Thursday of each month at 10 am in the RCN Conference Room. Our meetings are typically one hour so as not to interfere with our enjoyment of the many other activities we can choose from here at Four Seasons. ~ Lynn Jahnke, lynnj92223@gmail.com (Rocket) Canine Corral Finance Committee During the Finance Committee's regular monthly meeting, the financial statements for December 2023 were reviewed and recommended for Board approval. These statements will go through an additional update to clarify them for year-end 2023. In addition, the committee reviewed expenditure proposals, and reviewed investment recommendations to move maturing investments to higher yield FDIC insured instruments. Highlights of the December financial statements are: Total Cash is $12,642,454 including operating cash of $2,092,403 (checking and CDs) and reserve assets of $10,550,051. Our total year-to-date income is $33,629. We currently do not have a full roster of committee members. We are looking for anyone who would like to donate their time to our committee and the community. Homeowners are welcome to join us at the Finance Committee's regularly scheduled monthly meetings held on the last Tuesday of each month. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, March 26, at 1 pm. The Finance Committee reviews and discusses many issues that you may have questions about. I would encourage all residents to become more familiar with the finances of our fantastic community. We would love to hear about your concerns and encourage you to share them with us. Attending a meeting only takes a little time and will give you a better understanding of how we operate. Come and join us in making this a thriving, vibrant community. Our meetings are held in the RCN Conference Room. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Jolene Cooley at joleneaudit@gmail.com. ~ Jolene Cooley Dixie looks up to Rocket
