44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2024 It is with profound sadness we are delivering this message to you. One of the founding members of our dance club, Puring Stifter (inset), has passed. She and her husband, Gary Stifter, were the reigning co-founders and Puring was the acting president for many, many years. Our hearts are heavy, and we wish the best for Gary and their family. The month of March is upon us seemingly overnight. We are embarking on a new dance cycle this month as we do every month. This month it is Rumba! Dancing is a great way to improve your physical fitness and your mind. It is also an activity that can be shared with friends and family. You can take the next "step" by coming out Monday nights to join our "merry band." So if you ever wanted to dance on a cruise or at our awesome dances at Four Seasons, here is your opportunity to become a skilled participant in all our fun activities. We look forward to helping you to "March" like you have been doing this all of your life! Professional teachers and good companions await you on the dance floor. For these professional instructors, there is a $10 charge per class. We start at 6 pm with practice and review. Then we begin our new lesson at 6:30 pm. We look forward to seeing you soon. See you on the dance floor! A lot has happened since our last article, so here is just a short recap: • November - Our second evening of music and dance was a success. We had such a great time, the food was plentiful, our DJ was on point with the music, and the highlight of the evening was our male dancers' competition. Looking forward to planning our next one. • December – Our holiday luncheon was fun. We danced, ate some good food, played games, and enjoyed ending 2023 with fun. • January – Started a mixed line dance class on Tuesdays, 2 to 3:30 pm (photo at right, top). The class has Country/Western flavor, sprinkled with other music. Our Wednesday line dance class has had a time change. The new time is 3:30 to 5:30 pm. • February – Our line dance workshop was spectacular. Our theme was "wear red" in support of women's health month (photo at right, bottom and below). Thank you to all my busy bees who helped. • March – Looking forward to celebrating the 20th anniversary of Heart and Soul Line Dance with a Mardi Gras-themed event in Pomona. The thing about Soul Line dancing is that it is incredibly diverse. One dance can be Caribbean, one can be Southern Soul, and another could be Salsa, just to name a few. It's not about being perfect, it's about having fun. That's what makes it fascinating. So, if you're looking for something to do, willing to learn, make some new friends, and give your body, mind, and soul a healthy way to exercise, come join us. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Priscilla Robles at (909) 239-6464. See you on the dance floor! Let's Dance! Heart & Soul Line Dance
