FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2024 57 March is here and hopefully most of the rainy days of February are behind us! But regardless of the weather, members and guests of your Four Seasons Beaumont Water Volleyball Club continue to enjoy pool play during our winter season at The Summit (avoiding the elements). We meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm, and on Saturdays from 1 to 3 pm, and are always looking for new players (we are continuously increasing our membership, which is now at over 80). All ages, heights and skill levels are welcome. On Feb. 11 the Club hosted a Super Bowl Party in the RCN. With all the good food and drink on hand, the party was a great success whether or not your team was victorious! On Saturday, March 2 from 1 to 3 pm, we are holding a tournament at The Summit. We invite everyone to come and watch our members battle for water volleyball supremacy! If you're looking for a club where you can enjoy low impact exercise with lots of fun and laughs, come check us out. And bring your guests along. The indoor game tends to be a bit easier for most people since the ball is softer and the pool shallower. Everyone is welcome to join us! Unfortunately, Mother Nature was not kind to us during much of January and February and we were forced to cancel many of our play dates. We typically play volleyball on The Lodge lawn area between the pickleball and paddle tennis courts on the second and fourth Thursday of every month. During the winter season, we play in the late afternoon from about 3 pm until sunset (weather permitting). All you need to play the sport of lawn chair volleyball is a sturdy lawn chair and a desire to laugh with your neighbors at Four Seasons Beaumont. Our club only has two rules; you can't get out of your chair during play and you must have fun! If you're looking for a club where you can partake in a bit of friendly competition with very little physical exertion, come check us out. And bring your guests along. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun! For more information, contact Dave at dave.rohrbacker@icloud. com. ~ Dave Rohrbacker Our February 4x4 excursion was the annual Borrego Springs trip. Thanks to the Frysingers for organizing the week in the desert. It was definitely one of our best yet with options of hotels, camping, and RV sites. Beautiful sunrises, great weather, places to eat, plenty of trails for 4x4ing and hiking, making it fun for everyone. If you're interested in 4x4ing with us, our meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the RCN Conference Room. Hope to see you there. ~ Scott Snyder Water Volleyball Club Lawn Chair Volleyball 4x4 Seasons Scan QR code for membership application Roy Ortiz, "e Bighorn Whisper" Our rigs on the trail Our group at the geo thermal gas dome
