| OHCC LIVING | MARCH 2024 | 17 Happy March! Your Travel Club Board is busy confirming plans for more trips. Here's what has been scheduled so far. March 11 – General Program: Our Social Hour, with light refreshments, will begin at 6:30 pm in Abravanel Hall. The program will start at 7 pm. Our guest speaker will be Will Reese from AFC Vacations. It is always interesting to hear about their trips because they offer pick-up to and from your home! He should also highlight the "Sedona" trip in late September. July 24 – Pageant of the Masters: We are traveling to a Travel Club favorite destination - the fabulous Pageant of The Masters, in Laguna Beach! Presented in an outdoor amphitheater, this 90-minute show presents "living pictures" recreating works of art, with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces. This year's theme is "À La Mode: The Art of Fashion." The Show will feature some of history's grandest fashion trends from the splendors of royal courts to today's catwalks. Prepare to be dazzled! The cost is $165 per person. Additional trips in the works are the Long Beach Aquarium with lunch at Bubba Gump's, and Long Beach Harbor Cruise and Tours of SoFi Stadium and the Queen Mary. When all aspects of a trip are confirmed, Travel Club members will receive an email to ensure you can sign up for trips as soon as they are announced. In addition, detailed trip flyers are always available in the Trip Rack located near the Clubhouse Front Desk. When our trips are sold out, we do have wait lists. Frequently people on a trip need to cancel. So, many people on our wait lists actually do get the opportunity to go on our trips. To be placed on the wait list or to register for any of our trips, leave a check made out to the OH Travel Club, with proof of Covid vaccination attached (if not already submitted), in the Travel Club envelope at the Clubhouse Front Desk. Add $5 to the price if you are not a member of the Club. You will receive an email confirming your registration.
