| OHCC LIVING | MARCH 2024 | 31 Hello from the Papercrafting world! This year is moving along at a good clip. Valentine's Day has come and gone and now we're getting ready for the wearing of the green for St. Patrick's Day. There's lots of activity in the Art Room these days as our papercrafting groups meet to produce more beautiful cards. Our newest group, Group 5, is pictured above at one of their earliest meetings to begin their papercrafting journey. The two other photos are from Group 3 — the first shows a variety of Valentine's Cards created during a tutorial by Tatis Cervantes. The next photo is a grouping of fun rainbow cards dating back a bit but always fun to give and receive! As I've mentioned before, there's usually a theme behind the cards we create each month. This month we have springtime and Easter along with St. Patrick's Day to inspire us, and I can't wait to see what our groups come up with for these wonderful occasions. And as always, there's always a need for birthday cards. I hope our members celebrating birthdays this month receive some wonderful cards from friends and family. Our very best wishes go out to our March babies: Heidi Kuhn, Kerry Peyton, and Alison Vincent. May all your birthday wishes come true. More Inspiration: Check out this online magazine you can subscribe to for techniques, tutorials, trends, and tips. TPC Magazine (The Paper Craft): Tutorials Archives - TPC Magazine (thepapercrafting.com) It's always fun to see what other occasions are being celebrated each month to give us more inspiration for making new cards. Now, let me leave you with some truths about crafting: Crafty people don't make messes, they just have ideas lying around everywhere! Life is a series of obstacles preventing us from crafting. Crafting empties our wallets but fills our souls! Crafting fills my life, and my closets, and my drawers, and every tote bag in the house. Until next month, be well and craft on my friends! ~ Respectfully submitted by Debbie Cea Papercrafting Club NOTE: e ASPCA says that it is the pits/stones of these fruits that contain cyanide. e flesh in small amounts is safe. e most common fruit danger is apples. e whole core should be removed as it is easy to ingest the tiny seeds that have heavy cyanide concentrations and look so safe. PLC President, Ellen Kipple, reminds us that our pets need to be included in dwellingLIVE during the annual vehicle registration. Owner should include the name of pet, the type of pet, description, the Humane Society registration number, and a picture. Also, if you have it, their microchip number.
