The act of "phubbing" or "phone snubbing" is becoming a very real epidemic among Americans according to new research published in the Journal of Computers and Human Behavior. Phubbing is the act of snubbing someone in a social situation by looking down at the phone instead of paying attention to them. This behavior can affect and damage relationships, even leading to severe depression and lower rates of life satisfaction.
