| LIFE IN SOLERA | MARCH 2024 | 29 This group is made up of generally men, but women are always welcome. Our focus is on conversation and friendship. We meet every Wednesday in the Clubhouse between 8 and 9 am in the Arts & Crafts Room. It is typically a group of 10 to 20 people. We are led by a facilitator who ensures that everyone will have the opportunity to talk and encourages conversation. We have very interesting and diverse conversations. There are countless benefits you'll enjoy by joining this group, and they can vary from person to person. Come and check us out, and feel free to bring your favorite coffee mug! COFFEE GROUP Hello Solera residents! For anyone considering joining the Solera Sippers, now is your chance. Our membership year runs April 1 through March 31. You may join up in March and actually get a 13th month from your membership. Our membership dues are STILL only $20 per person! This is a great value, as throughout the year, those dues are used to defray costs of several events, along with a free (to members) event included every year. To give you an idea of some of the fun events we do, look no further than these last few months. In January, we paid tribute to the late Jimmy Buffett while consuming cheeseburgers and a significant amount of margaritas. In February, we played Bingo for wine, and in March, we have our annual Membership Dinner/Dance. At this meeting, we elect a new Sippers Executive Board, along with other business. This doesn't take long, as we don't want it to take time away from drinking, dining and dancing! April will be our "free to members" event, with details forthcoming soon. Also, we are always looking for people to step up and join our Sippers Advisory Committee. Fresh energy and fresh ideas are always welcome. Don't be afraid to get involved … you'll find it very rewarding.
