e hearing has been held: On March 14 our hearing against the Banning Point project was held. We feel that our attorneys did a great job in arguing our case. Judge Harold Hopp technically has 30 days to render a ruling on our case. Hopefully, he will rule sooner than that. Judge Hopp ran a very thorough and fair hearing. e outcome may have already been decided by the time this is published. Six members of the Pass Action Group Board of Directors attended the hearing along with four additional members of our community. ere were no members of the city of Banning staff or for the developers in attendance. Town Hall rescheduled: e Town Hall originally scheduled for March 3 was rescheduled. We will hold a Town Hall on Sun., April 7 at 4 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. e ruling from Judge Harold Hopp should be handed down by then. We look forward to seeing you there. Sunset Crossroads: e Pass Action Group as an organization will not be leading the opposition to the Sunset Crossroads project east of Sun Lakes. We formed a committee spearheaded by Jim Corrigan and Diane Berley. ey spent immeasurable hours reviewing the Dra Environmental Impact Report (DEIR). On Jan. 29, a document of over 60 pages was delivered to the city addressing the areas that need to be mitigated in this project. Again, hours and hours were spent creating this document. e filing of this document has created the ability to contest the specific issues addressed. It is our understanding that many residents also sent letters contesting the project. It is the position of the Pass Action Group that a new organization should be formed should further contesting of Sunset Crossroads be deemed necessary. e document we submitted will be able to be used as the foundation for a future claim. ank you once again to all supporters for your support for the last two years.
