Kim became a resident of Sun Lakes in December of 2022. She is a court reporter and also the founder/CEO of a non- profit, Trenches Classes United, which helps folk break destructive relational cycles. Kim was drawn to Sun Lakes in part due to the wide range of amenities offered. Because of the invitation of a former Tennis Club member, Kim chose tennis as the amenity that she embraced first. Unlike many who play tennis at Sun Lakes, Kim comes to tennis with just one semester of play while in high school. Asked about her intentions, Kim expressed her desire to gain the skills and confidence needed to play with ease among the more experienced club members and friends. So far, Kim has found support for her quest from other players who she describes as "kind, friendly and helpful," always willing to offer basic instructions. Considering the demands of her employment, Kim has only been able to take an active part in the Tuesday and Thursday Drop-In Mixers led by Bill Hendra. Club members are delighted to welcome her. We wish her well and want to support her in every way possible as she gains and refines tennis skills. The month of April has the following schedule: Sat., April 6: 8 am – Skills Session / 8:30 am – Mixed Doubles (free) Mon., April 8: 5 pm – Advanced & Intermediate Skills; Register in advance.
