10 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2024 | Name: ____________________________________________________________________________________ Address: ___________________________________________________________________________________ Phone: ____________________________________________________________________________________ FREE SUNDAY BRUNCH FOR TWO at the Bistro at Four Seasons Not valid on holidays or special events. Limit ONE ENTRY per residence per month Are you a RSVP party host's worst nightmare? Everybody gets busy, but, be a good friend; if you are on a guest list and RSVPS are requested, please respond by the deadline. Be considerate of your hosts, you know, "those nice people that invited you!" They have a final count deadline to give to the caterer of those attending their event. Next comes the busy time with last minute tasks like decorating and maybe helping with lodgings for out-of-towners. But it's after the RSVP deadline when you call and ask to be added to the party list. The host interrupts her schedule to call the caterer to see if you can be added to the headcount, then the host must call you back, to tell you yes or no to your request. The host isn't done yet, if the caterer can accommodate the change, she must redo her seating chart. It's not quite as difficult if there are empty spaces at the tables, BUT, it often happens that all tables are filled. So another table is needed, then people must be shifted from other tables so you aren't left sitting solo. Not only does it mess up the hosts seating chart that she has worked diligently on and has presented to the restaurant (on time) as was requested, but some juggling around will be necessary to get the needed linens because restaurants usually get delivery once a week. I'm trying to tell you that it isn't just adding another plate of food when you request to join in late. The reason restaurants have a final head count deadline, which means no changes after that date, is because they need that time to order the needed foods and linens for delivery as well as schedule extra staff for food preparation and table service. On the reverse side, if you did RSVP on time to come to the event but are now thinking you are kind of tired and don't feel like changing clothes to go that night, remember, you made a commitment to be there and your host will have to pay for your meal even if you don't show up. So please, be a good friend, especially if you want to keep getting party invites, make a New Years resolution! NEVER be late answering a RSVP again and always show up if you accepted the invite. My sincere thanks in advance to all that take this message seriously! We, the Bistro Committee are so happy to have our two new Bistro Liaisons, Ginny Gallagher in January and Linda Wetter in February. Now we have four Bistro Liaisons; we represent Francisco and all that is Bistro. Our efforts go to both the residents and Francisco to maintain equality to both groups. We are open to questions and suggestions, so don't be shy! Believe me we do follow through on your concerns and suggestions. My apology for the mix up of names and photo last month for the Brunch winners, I'm still not sure how it happened and I did rename Pat Flohr as Linda Flohr, sorry Pat! This month's lucky draw selected Kathy Sitter (at left) for the free Sunday Brunch for two and the ticket drawer was Paul Lavigne. That's me Patt, Double"T" Bistro Committee
