Today the sky was blue and clear as far as my eyes could see. This is good as most days I think my glasses are failing me while I move them or the paper around to get the best view. There is an energy to such a sky, this must be where the saying "the skies the limit" originated. I do love a good rainy day once in a while, but I just don't cope well with too many dark days. The Lodge has my favorite colors planted to greet me with a smile each day. I am hoping to share more smiles with each of you as we enter this new spring season. The Social Committee has invited you to test your luck at this year's Casino Royale. I wonder if you tend to be yourself when spending $500 of play money verses $500 out of pocket. Most gamblers probably have a "system" they use time and time again. I know my father in-law would call us and say I think I have a new "system" to win at craps and I am heading to State Line to try it out. This was fun for all of us since he would have a free room and we would take the kids to play in the pool and inhale the second-hand smoke while keeping them on the golden path through the busy casino with all its bells and whistles. It was even more fun when the system worked and he treated us to whatever fancy dessert we picked! This will be a great night. There will be professional dealers, lots of play money to test your "system," great prizes and EVERYBODY WINS at the decadent dessert bar all included in the price of your ticket. All right here and no second-hand smoke. Now, the day you have been waiting for… SHRED DAY! Join us Sat., April 27 from 8 to 11 am in front of The Lodge. To help with your spring cleaning, we are sponsoring the shred truck once again. This is a great way to dispose of the paperwork cluttering up your files. The truck shreds your papers here onsite while you stay in your car. You can bring your papers in a box or bag. The staples can remain. Please make sure other random items are not included such as: shoes, plastic shelving or other non-paper items. If you can lift and would like to volunteer, please let me know. It is time for all the clubs to start updating their rosters. The form can be obtained at the front desk. Please make sure all persons listed are residents of Four Seasons at Hemet. Please turn them in by June 14. If your club's roster is not updated it may result in a loss of preferred room use. Looking forward to all the May flowers! 4 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2024 | From Your Activities Director
