| OHCC LIVING | APRIL 2024 | 17 Welcome to April and spring! Your Travel Club Board is excited to share our upcoming trips. April 30 – Long Beach Adventure: We are off for a fun day in Long Beach. We'll start at the Aquarium of the Pacific which features a collection of over 12,000 animals in more than 100 exhibits. Exciting exhibits include the shark lagoon, penguin habitat, seal & sea lion habitat, sea otter habitat and an open area where you can hand feed the lorikeet birds. Across the street is the Bubba Gump Restaurant, where we will have lunch, which is included. After lunch, we'll take a narrated cruise of the Long Beach harbor, one of the most active ports in the world. The cost is $140 per person. This trip is sold out, but a wait list is available. July 24 – Pageant of the Masters: We are traveling to a Travel Club favorite destination - the fabulous Pageant of The Masters, in Laguna Beach! Presented in an outdoor amphitheater, this ninety-minute show presents "living pictures" recreating works of art, with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces. This year's theme is "À La Mode: The Art of Fashion." The show will feature some of history's grandest fashion trends from the splendors of royal courts to today's catwalks. Prepare to be dazzled! The cost is $165 per person. The Board has additional trips in the works such as tours of SoFi Stadium, the Queen Mary, the Gamble House, Rubel Castle, and touring Christmas Lights around the county! Detailed trip flyers are always available in the Trip Rack located near the Clubhouse Front Desk. When our trips are sold out, we do have wait lists. Frequently people on a trip need to cancel. So, many people on our wait lists actually do get the opportunity to go on our trips. To be placed on the wait list or to register for any of our trips, leave a check made out to the OH Travel Club, in the Travel Club envelope at the Clubhouse Front Desk. Add $5 to the price if you are not a member of the Club. You will receive an email confirming your registration.
