Actors' Workshop auditions went very well. We were pleased by the number of talented actors who auditioned. The final production will be June 3. Stay tuned for details. The Theatre Arts Club is for those who enjoy all aspects of live and virtual theatre. The unspoken mission statement of Theatre Arts is our commitment in bringing varied forms of theatrical entertainment to residents of Ocean Hills Country Club. Our Board members have been searching for new and different talent, new and different acts and exciting variations of singing, dancing, musical performances, acting, and storytelling. For the May 6 event we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of Ocean Hills Country Club with an encore performance of the San Diego Youth Civic Orchestra. Not only are they sharing their talent with us for a second time, the Symphony is proud to announce their 2024 NYC/Carnegie Tour, June 18 - 22, 2024. This incredibly talented group of student musicians so deserves the recognition… and Ocean Hills is very fortunate to share in their success! Please join our celebration on Mon., May 6 for this very special event. This event is free to all Ocean Hill residents, and is first come/first served for auditorium seating. Doors open at 6 pm. Don't miss one of the most fabulous events of the year. We are still trying to nail down dates for talented performers, including singer Michael Ruhl, a return performance from Center Stage Productions, and a San Diego comedy act. We continue to strive to provide entertainment that is creative, funny, fun, meaningful, unusual, exciting, educational, and thought- provoking. Please, please, get involved. We can use your experience, talent, energy and enthusiasm to help keep Theatre Arts a valuable entertainment resource for the community. After all, it takes a village! If you know of a performer or group, please let us know by contacting Lisa Malec at lmalec@envdev.com. Stay tuned for details Our next regular Board meeting will be held April 17, at 11 am, in a room to be assigned.
