Watercolor Classes By Sylvia Maxwell, 818-667-1766 Most of us love music, but we probably do not realize how valuable it is to our mental health and happiness. According to AARP Magazine, many studies show that music's power affects us both psychologically and physically. Singing with others causes the brain to secrete oxytocin, which creates warm sensations of bonding, unity, security, and awe, and it can alleviate pain and anxiety. When you play and sing with others, it is very difficult to feel bad! We would love to have you get some oxytocin with us any Friday at 1 pm in the Annex. We can teach you how to play this easy instrument and you can sing and laugh with us. You can call me for more information. Strummers By Judy Moore, 949-468-7375 Taka Ritchie is our artist for April and is returning with some of her spring collection of floral paintings. She is a self-taught master artist in watercolor and paints animals, landscapes, portraits and whatever else comes to mind. Taka also paints in acrylics as well as being an accomplished sculptor and a published author. She is known to be our guest watercolor instructor from time to time. She can oen be found in our Clubhouse Card Room playing mah-jongg. ank you, Taka, for the many years of contributing your beautiful artwork for exhibition in our Lobby. We love new faces, no experience necessary, and we have plenty of cast members who will help you get the hang of things.
