By Valorie Hillerich What a powerful tribute to the four ORIGINAL "Highwaymen" — Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson — who pioneered the outlaw country subgenre. Tony Suraci, "The HighwayMAN," got "On the Road Again" and was a "Ring of Fire" as he belted out timeless tunes. Backed by a 5-piece band and an incredible female vocalist, the group captured the essence of the Highwaymen and their mid-70s outlaw country era. I proudly wore my cowboy boots from "Luckenbach, Texas" and danced to their hits. There were several cowgirls and lots of "Good Ol' Boys" that two-stepped through the evening, too.
