FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2024 45 And just like that … it's May. Due to publication deadlines our articles are months behind. So, here is a recap of our March activities. Heart & Soul celebrated its 20th Anniversary with a Mardi Gras theme party, and as usual, we had an enjoyable time dancing. We had our first potluck of 2024 celebrating some of our dancers with January, February, and March birthdays. The food was delicious and abundant. We participated in the Beaumont/Cherry Valley Recreation and Park District Spring Fling and egg hunt. It was a family affair with food trucks, petting zoo, vendors, the Easter Bunny, and of course, the rain (The show must go on!). Thank you to the dancers who came out and helped with audience participation. Our class schedule is: Tuesdays from 2 to 3:30 pm; Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. From our line dance class, we wish you a Happy Mother's Day. If you need more information, contact Priscilla Robles at (909) 239-6464. See you on the dance f loor! ~ Priscilla Robles Heart & Soul Line Dance Heart & Soul members celebrating their 20th anniversary Happy Birthday to these special folks Members enjoyed a wet Spring Fling Here we go again for another fun summer down at the Amphitheater. Time to listen to some great music under the stars. We are starting off the summer season on Sunday, May 19 at 7 pm with Woody and the Longboards, Southern California's premier Beach Boys tribute band. We will be listening to all the great Beach Boys hits like I Get Around; Help Me, Rhonda; California Dreamin'; Good Vibrations; Pet Sounds; and many, many more. Woody and the Longboards will make us all feel that we are at a Beach Boys concert rocking to those great songs of summer. Mike and the Bistro team will once again be serving delicious hamburgers and hot dogs near the Amphitheater. Hawaiian shirts are part of the Beach Boys music, so I am offering a challenge to all the residents of Four Seasons. Let's kick off the summer with as many people wearing Hawaiian shirts in the audience as we can. How about we get at least 100 people in Hawaiian shirts? We will be counting. We have some special news for this season. There will be no reason to get up at dawn to line up on Sunday morning anymore. It has been approved to allow people to place their chairs after 6 pm on Saturday night before the Sunday concert. We have some rules to follow in order to be able to do this. • No chairs may be placed before 6 pm. Any chairs placed before 6 pm will be removed. An exception will be the Amphitheater Team volunteers who need to help with needed activities during the concert. Their chairs will be identified. • No moving of chairs. • You leave your chair overnight at your own risk, (chair thieves seem to be a low risk at Four Seasons). • Remember to cover any glass you bring to the concert, and please do not use blankets as a placeholder. Let's get in our "Little Deuce Coupe and meet our friends and neighbors down at the Amphitheater and have some "Fun, Fun, Fun" and do a little "California Dreamin'." See you there! ~ Mark Lassen Amphitheater
