| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2024 | 11
Steven Lake and Jenny Rayner (at right) from Living Free Animal
Sanctuary in Idyllwild were at our March meeting and gave an
awesome presentation. We will definitely have them back. Thank you
to the people who were there!
Our next meeting will be on Monday, May 20 at 10 am in the
Multipurpose Room. Our guest speaker will be Officer Phil Watkins
with Patrol and Narcotics Protection. Officer Watkins will be bringing
his K9 Kastov with him and maybe other officers with their K9s. You will not want to miss this
meeting so mark your calendars. Hope to see everyone there!

As we enter the month of May, I'd like to take a moment to wish all the
mothers in District 5 a very happy Mother's Day!
I'd also like to discuss one of the many programs the County of Riverside
offers for our seniors, the "Tablet Program." Offered by our county's Office
of Aging, this program teaches seniors the basics of navigating a tablet,
web browser, email, and Zoom. It also teaches seniors how to download
apps, take pictures, and record videos. Participants must be 60 or older,
disabled or caring for a disabled person, have limited use and/or knowledge
of technology, and be willing to participate in weekly screenings.
Once again, happy Mother's Day, and let's "Thrive in District 5!" ~
Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez
