60 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2024 | Executive Men's Golf They say, "April showers bring May flowers." Well, in our golfing world, "April showers bring greener greens and taller rough." May is also Mother's Day and Memorial Day holidays, and grandkids graduations. For the Executive Men's Golf Club, May begins an earlier start time (8:30 am), two tournaments, and our quarterly meeting and lunch. Our two tournaments are a Four-Man Scramble Step-a-Side computer generated pairing on Fri., May 10 and a Two-Man Scramble computer generated pairing on Fri., May 24. Following the May 24 tournament, we will have our quarterly meeting of members and Club-sponsored hot dog lunch. All members are welcome to attend the meeting and lunch whether or not they play in the tournament. Come join us! Dues are only $30 for the year. Do you love golf but don't hit the ball as far as you used to? Do you love golf but don't want to play with super competitive players? If you answered yes to any of these questions then the Lady Niners is the golf club for you. We play nine holes every Thursday morning on the Championship Course. We play from the gold tees so no need to be a big hitter. And more importantly, our members play for fun and the camaraderie of our fellow Niners. We take the game seriously but we don't take ourselves seriously.
