| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2024 | 69 Friends we will miss Carol Ann Kreckow (Hadean) Carol was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on Dec 25, 1940 and passed in the comfort of her home on April 11, 2024 as a result of pancreatic cancer at the age of 83. Her husband, Casey Kreckow, passed away almost two years ago so she is now able to be with him again in heaven. She was an active member in her beloved Sun Lakes community where she joined multiple groups including EPAP Animal Rescue Group, TOPS, the Follies, the International Dancers, the Pink Ukulele's, the Garden Club, the Red Hats, the 80s Plus Club, the Friendship Club, the Photography Club, and she enjoyed playing lots of bocce ball and water volleyball. Growing up, Carol loved to fish and collect duck figures and Native American art. Carol is survived by her two daughters Sandy (husband Billy) and Christine; three grandchildren David (wife Michelle), Andrew (wife Angela), and Nichole (husband Rene); and seven great- grandchildren Colin, Vince, Ethan, Madelyn, Violet, Cristian, and Sebastian. In October 2023, Carol had the opportunity to have Bishop Paul Brown from the Taylorsville 6th Ward of the Polynesian branch of the LDS Church perform a Laying On Of Hands in Murray, Utah. This was a major part of her upbringing as she was the great- granddaughter of Wilford Woodruff. She spent her whole life giving to others at every chance possible and she even found a way to do just that after not being with us in person any more. She has decided to donate her body to science so she can give the medical students at Loma Linda University an opportunity to learn and help future patients. There will be a memorial service at Beaumont Presbyterian Church on May 11 at 3 pm. Following the church service, the family will be hosting a Celebration of Life in the South Clubhouse at Sun Lakes Country Club, where she had lived with Casey since 2003. A grave-site service will be held in 2026 at Riverside National Cemetery after her remains are returned to the family from Loma Linda University medical center.
