26 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JUNE 2024 | WIT (Women In Touch) The WIT ladies share a common bond – the loss of the love of their life. Our dinner meeting provides a special social interaction and helps to rekindle old and new friendships. The WIT Team gathers once a month in the Bistro for dinner. Our dinner orders are "called in" to the Bistro between 2 to 4 pm. When we gather at 5 pm, our orders are already being prepared and are ready to deliver to each attendee. We are a support group. Please accept our invitation to join us if you are a widow in need of a social connection and loving care. If you have any questions regarding WIT, please contact Brenda Beers at (951) 306-6670 or Jeanne Lincoln at (951) 765-7112. We were off to the Annual Fashion Hemacinto Assistance League's Fashion Show, "Fun Days & Elegant Nights!" at the Hemet public library. What an exciting day we had, shopping, luncheon and a fashion show. The runway consisted of the models wearing fashion designs from their "Boutique Treasures". Also included was a variety of gift baskets and raffles. and some of the lucky winners were from the Ladies Club. With the weather unpredictable we stayed right here at home and saw Nyad in our very own Four Seasons Theater. What a remarkable true story of athlete Diana Nyad who, at the age of 60 commits to achieving her life-long dream, a 110-mile open ocean swim from Cuba to Florida. We enjoyed a private 45-minute docent-led tour at the Edward- Dean Museum that was built as a private museum in 1958. If you have never visited the museum, it is something you might want to do. We saw 16th century to 19th century European and Asian paintings, sculptures, furniture and tapestries. We walked the beautiful Rose Garden path with ramps and walkways, and wandered by the Koi pond. Then it was off to Flo's County Cafe for lunch. Unfortunately the Rose Garden was not in bloom when we went in April, so I guess that means we're going to have to see about a day trip to the Rose Garden in May. Come check out our group at our regular monthly meeting on the fourth Monday of every month at 1:30 pm in the Ballroom.
